The Moody Street Group is pleased to have Kelly Hall CPA, CLU, ChFC, RICP, Director of Advanced Strategies with OneAmerica speaking on Wednesday June 22nd from 6:00 to 7:00 PM VIA ZOOM about “Federal Transfer Taxes”. This is a discussion of the elements of a person’s estate and taxes that can apply at death. She will review the unified credit or shelter amount that can exempt assets from estate tax and how the federal estate tax is calculated with a recap of the history of the estate tax and how unpredictable the tax structure and rates can be. There is examination of additional considerations in the estate plan, such as step-up in basis preservation, annual exclusion gifting and using trusts. It finishes with a discussion of tools that can help create flexibility in planning.

Advanced Strategies is a team which support the agent of the companies of OneAmerica in complex markets. As the Advanced Strategies Director, Kelly spends her days working with Financial Professionals, discussing, educating Advisors on planning strategies and answering tax-complicated questions associated with the use of Financial Services products.
Kelly joined OneAmerica in November of 2019 after serving as an Advanced Planning Officer for 17 years with Ohio National Financial Services in Cincinnati, OH. Prior to her involvement with Financial Services, Kelly was a financial manager and accountant in Cincinnati as well as an auditor for the U.S. State Department, traveling to embassies around the world. She holds a BS in accounting and business management, graduating magna cum laude. She achieved CPA status 1991. She has had the CLU designation since 2006 and a ChFC since 2013. She earned her RICP designation in 2019. Kelly has written white papers, conducted advanced planning seminars, created marketing guides and conducted continuing education for a national field force.

Still residing in Cincinnati, Kelly loves spending time with her fiancé, family and two special poochies.
